Amanda Robertson grew up in Central California. She was a softball player by trade and then made a drastic switch to golf in high school. At the age of 16, she started to fall in love with the game. While attending college Amanda went on to play for the Golf Channel Amateur Tour where she was the only female on the National winning team in 2008. She graduated in 2011 from Pepperdine University with a BA in psychology.

​Amanda turned pro in 2012 and started a journey of golf, travel, and new experiences. She played the Cactus Tour, Canadian Tour, and Symetra Tour through the years and made a good run at playing full-time. When BackSwing started to take off, Amanda shifted her focus to running the company full-time as COO and enjoys traveling for BackSwing events throughout the year.
